Image Usage, Copyright & Client Privacy

Flash That Studio retains the full copyright and ownership of all photographs taken during a session.

The client grants Flash That Studio the right to use selected images for portfolio display, website content, social media, marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes.

However, Flash That Studio respects the privacy of its clients and applies the following policies:

Boudoir Photography

All boudoir sessions are treated with strict confidentiality. Images from boudoir sessions will never be shared publicly or used for marketing purposes without the client’s explicit written permission.

Children & Family Photography

When sharing family or children’s portraits for portfolio or marketing purposes, Flash That Studio takes great care to protect the identity and privacy of minors. Children’s full names and personal information will never be published.

Client Opt-Out Option

If a client prefers that their images not be used for marketing or promotional purposes, they may request this in writing prior to the session, and their wishes will be fully respected.

Editing Style & Artistic Rights

By booking a session with Flash That Studio, the client acknowledges that they are familiar with the photographic style and editing approach of Marelize Joubert.

All images are edited according to the Flash That Studio artistic style, which includes color grading, retouching, and finishing that reflects the studio’s brand and creative vision.

Final editing decisions remain at the sole discretion of Flash That Studio.

RAW Files

Flash That Studio does not provide RAW (unedited) image files under any circumstances.

RAW files are considered the unfinished digital negatives of the photographer’s work and require professional editing to achieve the final artistic result.

Only the final edited images selected and delivered by Flash That Studio form part of the final product.

Alteration of Images

To maintain the artistic integrity of the work, images delivered by Flash That Studio may not be altered, edited, filtered, or modified by the client or by any third party.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Applying social media filters

• Changing color tones or exposure

• Cropping or modifying the composition

• Additional retouching or manipulation

If images are shared online, they must be displayed in their original edited form as delivered by Flash That Studio.

Unedited Image Requests

Flash That Studio carefully selects and edits the best images from each session.

Images that are not selected for final delivery may include test shots, duplicates, or images that do not meet the studio’s quality standards.

For this reason, unedited images or the full gallery of photographs will not be provided.

Boudoir Privacy Promise

At Flash That Studio, boudoir photography is built on trust, respect, and complete privacy.

Boudoir sessions are treated with strict confidentiality, and client images are never shared publicly without explicit written permission.

Flash That Studio guarantees the following:

• Boudoir images will never be published on the website, social media, or marketing material without the client’s written consent.
• Clients have full control over whether any images are shared publicly.
• Images are stored securely and handled with the highest level of discretion.
• The privacy and dignity of every client are always respected.

Many clients choose to keep their images completely private, and Flash That Studio fully supports and honors this decision.

Hair & Make-up Services – Terms & Conditions

Flash That Studio | Marelize Joubert

These terms and conditions apply to all hair and makeup services provided by Marelize Joubert at Flash That Studio.

By booking a hair and makeup appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.

Making a Booking

Hair and makeup bookings may be made up to 24 hours in advance, subject to availability.

Bookings are only confirmed once the required deposit has been received and confirmation has been sent via email or message.

Appointments can be booked directly through Flash That Studio or with Marelize Joubert.

Bridal Hair & Make-up Bookings

All bridal party bookings and event bookings require a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit to secure your date.

If the deposit is not received within 7 days of the invoice being issued, the booking date cannot be guaranteed.

The deposit will be deducted from the total amount due, and the remaining balance must be paid in full before or on the day of the booking.

If a member of the bridal party does not attend their appointment, the payment for that person remains non-refundable.

Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

Late arrivals may affect the quality of the service and the schedule for other clients.

If delays occur due to the client or bridal party, an additional R750 per hour per stylist may be charged.

Hair & Make-up Appointments

All hair and makeup appointments require a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance payable before or on the day of the appointment.

For group bookings of three or more people, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the appointment.

Clients are requested to arrive with:

• A clean, makeup-free, moisturized face
• Clean, dry hair with no styling products

This helps ensure the best results for your hair and makeup application.

Payment

Once the deposit has been received, your booking will be confirmed.

Accepted payment methods include:

• Direct bank transfer
• Cash payments

Proof of payment may be required to confirm your booking.

The remaining balance must be settled before or on the day of the appointment.

Cancellations

All deposits are non-refundable.

If cancellation occurs more than 5 days before the appointment, the deposit may be transferred to another booking for the same client within 3 months, subject to availability.

If a client fails to attend their appointment or cancels without proper notice, the deposit will be forfeited and the remaining balance may still be payable.

For bridal bookings, if the number of people requiring services decreases within 4 weeks of the event date, the originally quoted amount may still apply.

Right to Refuse Service

Flash That Studio and Marelize Joubert reserve the right to cancel or refuse services if:

• A client behaves in a disrespectful or unreasonable manner
• The working environment becomes unsafe or unsuitable
• Expectations cannot realistically be met despite consultation

If a booking is cancelled under these circumstances, payments may be refunded excluding completed services or trials.

Trials

Bridal trials may be offered prior to the wedding date.

If a client requests additional trials beyond the first consultation, these may be charged at the standard trial rate.

Travel, Accommodation & Parking

Mobile hair and makeup services may be available for weddings and events.

Travel outside Mbombela (Nelspruit) will incur an additional travel fee calculated according to A.A travel rates per kilometer (return trip).

The client is responsible for arranging parking and covering any applicable parking fees.

If travel exceeds 250 km, accommodation may be required.

Additional Fees

The following additional charges may apply:

• Early start fee: R250 per hour before 6:00 AM
• Public holiday bookings: 20% surcharge
• Travel / call-out fees for on-location services

Hair Extension Rental

Hair extensions may be available for rental for special events.

Rental Fee: R500
Refundable Deposit: R1000

The deposit will be refunded once the extensions are returned within 2–3 business days in clean and reusable condition.

If extensions are returned late or damaged, part or all of the deposit may be withheld.

If the extensions are not returned, the client may be invoiced for the full replacement value.

Personal Information & Hygiene

Clients must inform us of any allergies, skin sensitivities, or medical conditions prior to the appointment.

All brushes, tools, and products used are professional-grade and sanitized between each client.

All personal information provided will remain confidential and securely stored.

Photography & Marketing

Flash That Studio and Marelize Joubert may take photographs of hair and makeup work for portfolio, website, and social media purposes.

If you prefer not to have your images used for marketing, please inform us in writing before your appointment.

Studio Rental Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

Studio rental is only confirmed once full payment or the required deposit has been received. Bookings operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Rental Time

Your booking time includes setup and packing time. Please ensure your shoot is completed within your allocated time slot so the studio is ready for the next booking.

Additional time may be billed if the studio is occupied beyond the agreed rental period.

3. Equipment

Photographers are encouraged to bring their own lighting equipment and triggers. Studio lighting and modifiers may be available by prior arrangement and at an additional fee.

Flash That Studio is not responsible for compatibility issues between personal equipment and studio equipment.

4. Studio Care & Responsibility

The photographer renting the space is fully responsible for their clients, assistants, and equipment during the rental period.

Please treat the studio, furniture, props, and backdrops with care.

Any damage to studio property or equipment will be charged for repair or replacement.

5. Backdrops

Backdrops used as infinity setups will incur a fee of R270 per metre if they are stepped on, cut, or damaged during the shoot.

6. Cleanliness

Please leave the studio in the same condition it was found. Excessive mess, glitter, paint, liquids, or substances that may damage equipment or flooring are not permitted unless discussed beforehand.

7. Hair & Make-up

Professional hair and make-up artists can be arranged by prior booking. Availability may vary, so advance notice is recommended.

8. Furniture & Props

Furniture and props available in the studio may be used during the rental but must be handled with care and returned to their original position after the shoot.

9. Dress Rental

Studio dresses are available for rental. Please see the website for available options and pricing.

10. Liability

Flash That Studio is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to photographers, clients, models, or personal equipment during the rental period.

11. Image Credit

Photographers are kindly requested to tag @FlashThatStudio when sharing images taken in the studio.

12. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations or rescheduling requests should be made at least 48 hours in advance. Deposits may be forfeited for late cancellations.
